Profile
I am a STEM teacher and Librarian. I help students develop and refine their 21st Century skills of Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, and Creativity with technology and open-ended projects. I use Project Based Learning to create cross-curriculum Math and Science units combined with technology to create learning experiences with authentic assessments and real-world applications. I use digital media and content creation to enhance further learning and engagement in students with diverse learning styles. Projects are designed to be learner-centered, differentiated, and collaborative to prepare my students for the modern workforce.

Highlights of Experience
Developed curriculum units that actively engaged learners in STEM-focused units aligned with state standards.
Created Professional Development sessions to help teachers transition to online teaching due to COVID-19 School Closure.
Developed curriculum for and coached Eliot’s Robotics team. Students learned problem-solving and coding skills, as well as computer science.
Advisor and Teacher to Eliot Audio/Video Club, producing student-run morning announcements and short films created by students to be shown at student developed and ran film festival.
Built an Augmented Reality Sandbox to help students visually understand geographic, historical, and scientific concepts. Eliot is the only Elementary school in Oklahoma with this technology.
Created a website to help students with Math Homework. Topic Review and Homework Solutions videos were made to give students an extra tool to increase their understanding of mathematical concepts.
